babysitting Fonz

We babysitted Fonz - the French dog of Orell - a whole day, and it was fun. He farted all the time, so when we were out walking, people thought it was me, blaming the dog. Hilarious!

MY VIDEOCLIP IS SELECTED FOR THE FILMFESTIVAL IN POLAND!

Oh my!!! My videoclip for the Sutrastore song 'Zero Point' is selected for THE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION OF THE 5th IFF OFENSIVA
in Poland.

On their website:

"The International Film Festival Ofensiva aims at presenting ambitious artistic cinema which depicts reality in an uncompromising and unorthodox way. During the Festival we would like to screen artistic films that express their authors' own, original thinking. Simultaneously, Ofensiva attempts to overlook all new tendencies in film-making – feature / short film, documentary as well as video-clip and animation."

"The main part of the Festival will be the International Competition organized this year in four categories: plot, document, animation and video-clip. The competing movies will be judged by a professional jury, consisting of authorities in those specific fields."

The International Competition of the 5th Festival Ofensiva will take place in Wrocław in Poland between the 6-9 December 2007.

Who the F#ck?

I had to fill in the section "ABOUT ME". At this moment, it sounds like this:


Photographing, writing a movie, loving my family, pets and husband, observing the world while trying not to get irritated, eating, drinking tons of water and smoking too much cigarettes, feeling bad about things happening around me, getting to movies and concerts for free, still complaining a lot, playing a stupid game on my cellphone I never win, trying not to get an islamofoob (not that easy living in Brussels), waiting for money to come my way and nerver winning anything with Win For Life, doubting about which haircut I realy want, aiming to spend more time with my friends (I'm not very good in that), postponing the dentist visit (although it hurts), worrying all the time about everything, trying to be happy at the end.

Today my pictures were selected for the LEE make history
campaign. Hopefully I will walk away with the money! In other words: no worries for a whole year!

Mattafix and the Christmas tree

Past week, we interviewed Marlon Roudette, the singer of Mattafix, in a hotelroom in Brussels. We talked about his engagement with Dafour, and the new album 'Rhythm & Hymns' ofcourse. Marlon was so occupied with his laptop, because someone quoted him wrong on the internet concerning Darfour, and he was pissed of. Despite that, the interview as well as the photoshoot went well, and the hotel (somewhere at the South of Brussels city) was so upperclass disco. The only thing that was totally 'not done' was the Christmas tree in the hallway, goddamn, oktober has just begon!

Vice Block Party @ Nuit Blanche

There is so much to do in Brussels when the yearly NUIT BLANCHE takes place, so most of the times we are just wandering in the streets, hop in and out. This time we went almost straight to the Vice Block Party, because I promissed to take pictures.
First we did some exhibition in Het Stadhuis: pillows making noise.



Then we moved on to De Grote Markt where they made a roof with lasers.



And then we went partying at the Vice party at De Nieuwstraat, the big shopping street in the center. Weird location, but at nuit blache everything is possible. In the meantime I was working: taking pics for the Vice blog. You can check the pics out HERE

First time my pics had to be approved by the managment of the artist. My favorite pic was eliminated because it wasn't flattering - you can see a wrinkle - for Gwen. This is one of the pics that made it

Just being polite

Choose your language. I guess I'll write down the things I like to say in all languages that are mine, to start with photography.
Because that's what I am, a photographer. I work for Cutting Egde (I'm the chief photography!), vrt, Vice and I do some freelance work. I like doing portraits, and take a lot of concertpics. Latest? Gwen Stefani, Cansei de Ser Sexy - one of my favorite bands at the moment - and Biffy Clyro. Take a look at my myspace (saving money for a decent website)

I'm also a director, mostly I shoot musicvideo's. My latest one is one of the greatest clips ever made in history - sorry for being honest. The song is called 'Mother's Little Helper', an old Rolling Stone song, performed by Belgian legend Dr Kloot. Go and have a look at my other myspace
